1. How to change your choice
Use the Cookie Settings button in the footer of any page to reopen the consent banner and change your choice at any time — you don't need to clear your browser's cache or site data to do this. Your choice is stored only in this browser's local storage, under the key cse_consent_v1, and is never transmitted to us.
2. Strictly necessary (always active)
These are set unconditionally, because the site can't provide the feature they support without them, and none of them involve tracking, advertising, or sending data to a third party.

3. Analytics — not currently active
quickhex does not run Google Analytics or any other analytics service today. No analytics cookie is set, and no visit data is sent to an analytics provider. We plan to add Google Analytics in the future; the table below discloses in advance, for transparency, the cookies that service typically sets once integrated. None of these exist on this site yet.

Google's own cookie set and naming can change between now and whenever this integration actually happens — this table will be corrected to match reality before the "Accept all" choice is ever allowed to actually enable analytics.
4. Advertising — not currently active
No advertising network is integrated today. No ad is served on this site, no ad cookie is set, and no ad personalization data is shared. We plan to add Google AdSense in the future. The table below discloses, in advance, cookies Google typically sets for ad delivery and measurement once a publisher account is connected. None of these exist on this site yet.

Per the "no ads inside the tool" commitment already published on the homepage, any future ad placement will sit in the header, footer, or sidebar — never between the input and output fields of a calculator.
5. Affiliate links — not currently active
There are no affiliate links on this site today, and no affiliate network is integrated. If that changes, an affiliate network's own tracking cookie (or a URL parameter it reads) would typically be set only when you click an outbound affiliate link — the specific cookie name depends on which network is eventually chosen, so it isn't listed here yet. This section will be updated with the real cookie name and duration before any affiliate link is added.
6. What happens when a planned service actually launches
A consent choice made today, while analytics, advertising, and affiliate tracking are all inactive, isn't meaningful informed consent to a service that doesn't exist yet — so we don't treat it as one. When any of the three planned services above actually goes live, the storage key that remembers your choice will change (from cse_consent_v1 to a new version), which automatically discards every previously stored choice and shows the banner again to every visitor, this time describing what's actually running.
7. Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track
This site checks for the Global Privacy Controlsignal (navigator.globalPrivacyControl) before ever showing the consent banner. If your browser or a browser extension sends this signal, it's treated as an immediate, valid opt-out — recognized under California's CCPA/CPRA, Colorado's CPA, Connecticut's CTDPA, and Texas's TDPSA — and your stored choice is automatically set to "necessary only" with no banner shown at all. The legacy "Do Not Track" browser header is not honored separately, since it was never standardized and GPC has since become the recognized successor signal in the laws that require honoring an opt-out preference signal; since no analytics or advertising is active on this site regardless, there is currently nothing for either signal to opt you out of in practice.
